Hello!

My name is Thilde, and I am 22 years old from Denmark. I am new to Workaway, and I am so excited to gain experiences and opportunities!
I am a positive, responsible, curious and caring person who enjoys helping others and discovering new cultures. I finished school in the summer of 2024 and am currently taking gapyears before starting university, as I want to gain life experience that cannot be learned in a classroom!
Right now, I recently finished working with disabled children, and I have also worked in eldercare to see if healthcare is a career I would want to pursue. I also have worked as a waiter, where I enjoyed talking with lots of different people.

I have always been fascinated by the world, and over the past year and a half I have travelled as much as possible. I can highlight a trip with my friend to Japan, the Phillippines, and Nepal. We volunteered at a monastery in Nepal, where we taught English to young boys. This would definitely be one of my dearest memories from my travels! And also what urged me to seek more meaningful experiences while travelling.

Recently (May-July), I travelled to Morocco, where I was motivated to improve my French by using the remnants of what I learned in school years ago.
For now, I plan to to move to a city in the South of France to improve my French and enjoy la vie:)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am really adaptable and I am curious to gain experience and skills.

As mentioned, I have a little experience in teaching English, because of my time at the monastery in Nepal, which I really loved. I work with children right now, which have given me a lot of knowledge within health and caring for the less fortunate.

I have also worked within service in restaurants and also in a reception in a beauty clinic, so I have a love for giving guests good experiences too!
And I also enjoy cooking like a hobby.

A fact about me that I have taken with me on all of my previous jobs, is that I have a love for organizing, cleaning and being thorough. So if you have a place you need to sort through I would genuinely love to help :)

In my free time, I enjoy being outside, enjoying the sun, going for long walks in nature, reading, watching movies, listening to music, visiting museums, cooking healthy meals and desserts, drawing, and spending time with my family and friends. I also appreciate quiet moments alone to recharge and be creative :)
