We are interested in outdoor activities and adventure in South America, we are both interested in sustainable land management and regenerative agriculture/building practices.

Description

What brings us the most happiness is being part of a community and finding meaningful inspiration in our work environment. We grew up living and practicing sustainable outdoor leadership, stewardship, and management techniques which we have continued to develop throughout our lives and college careers. The sustainable development and conservation of our natural world is one of our most important priorities.

Our hope with workaway is to connect with people and work on projects that help to encourage positive growth in this world. We deeply value the opportunity to learn a new language and engage with foreign cultures. Both of us our passionate environmentalist, having gone to school for the subject, any projects involving sustainability or ecologically minded goals are of great interest to us. We want to build lasting relationships through hard work and team efforts.

One of our goals is to become fluent in the Spanish language while traveling. We both studied abroad in Spanish speaking countries in addition to taking Spanish classes in both high school and college. We feel as though teaching the English language to native Spanish speakers would be very beneficial to our progression as well as very beneficial to those learning to speak English.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Above all other skills, we both take immense pride in our work ethic and our ability to finish whatever project we start. We grew up living and practicing sustainable outdoor leadership, stewardship, and management techniques which we have continued to develop throughout our lives and college careers. The sustainable development and conservation of our natural world is one of our most important priorities.

Furthermore, both of us have several years of experience with basic construction and framing, this includes the use and operation of most standard power tools. Fletcher has a bachelor of Science degree from the Cal Poly School of Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Sciences and a. minor in Spanish. I (Charlie) Graduated from Colorado College with a degree in environmental Studies. We have both worked on several food/science based projects; we have also both worked manual labor, farm, and ranch jobs and thus have a solid understanding of basic farming, irrigation, and general maintenance/labor capabilities. Additionally, we are both proficient in Spanish and have basic costumer service experience.

In short, we are well versed in the fields of environmental stewardship and ecological restoration. We are eager to apply our hard work ethic to any projects that might be thrown our way and troubleshoot any complex issues that hosts might need help with.

We are both avid outdoorsmen with a passion for exploration. We enjoy skiing, whitewater kayaking, surfing, camping, backpacking, sitting around a fire with friends, playing music, and are eager to partake in any fun activity.
