Hello my name is Taya,
I am looking forward to going travelling again and I’m feeling very privileged to experience the world and many different cultures.

I’m a very inquisitive person and so I enjoy learning about different perspectives and ways of life. For this reason I am interested to experience something that is very different from the conventional life I've lived so far.

I am also a huge animal and nature lover and so to be surrounded by these things has always been a dream of mine. I have a lot of respect for nature and so I try to live as sustainably as possibly, however growing up in a city this has been somewhat difficult. Therefore I would like to live in a way that reconnects me to nature as I believe this is very important.

I am interested in experiencing alternative ways of living to the way I grew up in a western city. I would like to experience how a community works and what it means to be part of one. I also have a great respect for education and it’s importance and am committed to finding education techniques that employ a holistic approach and maximise wellbeing.

I want to experience as much as I can, however not in a rush, I want to travel consciously with respect for the people and places I meet along the way. I am always up for learning and doing new things but I believe it's important to take time to apply and appreciate what I have already learnt.

I love meeting and connecting with new people as well as committing myself to working with others on a team towards a common goal. I always try to be as helpful as possible and will throw myself into any task that is handed to me. Of course not forgetting to have fun and a laugh along the way!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have worked in hospitality for the past two years and so I have a lot of experience working in a team and interacting with other people. I've also gained lots of customers service skills.

I volunteer at a stables to help disabled people to do horse riding which has given me experience working with horses (grooming, tacking up, mucking out and some riding) as well as giving me the opportunity to work with and get to know people from different walks of life. I'm also a dog walker and have had a cat most of my life so I am very comfortable being around animals.

I do some tutoring as well, teaching philosophy, which I've really enjoyed as I love sharing knowledge and discussing ideas with other people. The skills I've gained from tutoring philosophy I think would easily be transferable to other subjects.

I love solving a problem, practical or otherwise, and so any time something needs fixing i’m always happy to attempt to fix it.

I am a creative person and often make my own clothes out of old fabric. I do this to recycle resources and because I enjoy the creative process. I'm always adjusting things if they don't fit right or patching something up if it has broken. My friends also come to me if they need anything to be fixed!

I love to take and share photos of anything that catches my eye.
