Hey there,

Johann is leaving in some weeks, so its "only"
me, Carmen :)
I'm looking for a place to help out, work, and live for the wintertime (I'm available from October through April).

I’m 36, from northern Germany, and have a WHV valid through April 2027.

I’d love to experience a Canadian winter with lots of snow and ice! ✨🤓 I don’t necessarily need to end up in a ski resort area, but I also don’t want to be completely alone in the wilderness. A warm home with a few caring people around me would be great. I love to do cross country skiing and ice skating and snowboarding. I am not a profi in any of these activities, but it's a lot of fun for me to "play" in the snow 😁

I’m an arborist and am used to (and love) working outdoors in all kinds of weather; I’m fit and hardworking. I’m pretty handy, and with a little guidance, I can handle most things pretty well.

Before becoming an arborist, I studied sports science and have been coaching children’s gymnastics and swimming and other sport classes in rehabilitation sports since I was a teenager. I’m also an aunt to four kids and love exploring the world with them and seeing it through kids eyes again.

My English is okay. I’m usually nervous at first, so my speech is a bit stilted. So I’m not necessarily cut out for a front desk job right away, but I’d be fine working behind the scenes 😁

I’m not looking for a specific job—I’m open to any offers. Sooner or later, I’ll need to earn a little money, but I’m also happy to work and help out in exchange for meals and a place to stay :)

P.s. in the moment I am on Vancouver island, but I have got a car and flexibel where to go next :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We are both Arborist, with german and european Certificates, like Treeclimbing and chain saw work.
We are used to physical work outdoors.

Both of us are experienced sailboat owners and do a lot of maintenance work ourselves. So probably we could help you with some kind of construction work or repairing as well.

Johann is a Montessori teacher for sailing and Carmen is experienced with Sports and youth groups and fourtimes Aunt ;)

We can imagine to work in all those fields.
