Both French we would like improved our English. We are seriously and very very motivated
Description
Hi, we are Swein & Shaan, two funny persons from France.
We live in Le Mans with our pets Naos (dog) and Osiris (Cat).
Our goal is to travel around the world in 2025 and we would like to learn and improve our level in English.
We are planning to travel for two months from November to December. During this period, we are looking for a job abroad.
We are sporty , we like running with our dog, cycling, hiking and we completed the TMB (Tour du Mont Blanc) in August 2024.

Swein studied IT and Graphic design for Shaan.
But we have skills in house building. Together we renovated all our house.
Also, Shaan is good at cooking and baking pastries.
Sometimes, we worked for several caterers in France as waiter and waitress.

We were so lucky to have Shann & Swein stay with us for ( just) 1 month, we d happily would have them stay on longer.

Both were absolutely fantastic workers. Every job & project was tackled with enthusiasm, skill and near to perfection work ethics.

Swein and Shaan were wonderful helpers. When they arrived they had no experience of working with horses but they were really keen to learn and became very competent very quickly.
Eanna, my gelding was being difficult about being groomed because he has a sore area, so he can be very intimidating - especially for beginners, but as they gained… read more confidence, they managed to handle him very well. They were really gentle and patient with both horses and all my cats. Cleo, my mare, has stiff back legs so doesn't want to pick them up for cleaning her feet, but Shaan managed that too.

Swein had ridden a Quad bike before so he took over shifting all the muck up to the heap, which saves me lots of time. He also managed to fix my hay steamer when a hose started leaking. That was essential because both horses have just allergies.

They had warned me that their English was limited and I now realise how much French I have lost! Communication was a little difficult but we managed, using Google when we got desperate, and Swein in particular worked really hard to improve his English while they were here. Shaan understood more, but was more shy about speaking English. I would say that they both improved dramatically in just a month.

While they were here. I slipped on ice late at night and ended up in hospital for two days with concussion. On my return I had severe vertigo for several more days. They were my heros and took over all the work, putting off their days off until I was able to work properly. Not only that, but they thoroughly cleaned my whole yard so I would not be in danger of falling again.

One day we had a severe downpour and the stable gutter was leaking, so they went around and cleaned all my gutters - on the house as well as the stable block - without being asked. They also cut down large branches off damaged trees, using a bowsaw which is pretty hard work. Swein even helped me on two of his days off, in exchange for practising his English with me.

They had a terrible time with the weather because the caravan water froze and they had to fill the tank by hand, but they never complained and just got on with it. We also had a major storm which cut off power for two days. They helped me to set up a small generator but sadly it wouldn't run a steamer.

They are both really nice people and hard workers. I am very grateful that they decided to stay here and would recommend them to anyone.
