Hi, my name is Suellen, I'm new here in the workaway community and I'm currently travelling around Southeast Asia.

I am a very enthusiastic person who loves meeting new people and cultures around the world. I am originally from Brazil, however, I have been living abroad for more than 7 years.

I have lived in Ireland, Malta and Australia so I speak Portuguese and English pretty well. I am currently taking a sabbatical year so I'm looking for some volunteering along my trip to get richer connections with the locals and their culture as well as with other volunteers. :)

What motivates me and brings me happiness is being part of a community of people where I can learn new things and exchange knowledge with others knowing that everyone is looking for the same exchange. I'm always seeking opportunities to grow and have a positive impact on those around me.

I have strong learning abilities and I am interested in almost everything in life so I am looking forward to connecting and sharing experiences :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

While living abroad I have gained experience working as a cleaner, housekeeper, waitress and hotel receptionist. Therefore, I have improved my time management and organization skills always focusing on providing a great experience to everyone :)

I have a lot of experience dealing with people from different countries and cultures so I've developed excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Apart from my professional experience, I'm embarking on a new content creation project during my sabbatical year of travel, allowing me to both apply and enhance my digital skills.

I have experience looking after kids as I used to take care of my niece and nephew for long hours so I have a great idea of how to entertain kids with fun activities and of course, help them with their homework. Therefore, I would love to have more experiences with kids.

I also experienced volunteering in a public park by feeding stray cats twice a day while living in Malta. I must say that my heart was filled with happiness to see the cats fed and happy ^.^

In Brazil, we are encouraged to fix and build things by ourselves always using our creativity so I believe I can easily help with assist with DYIs projects or maintenance.

I am more than happy to learn new skills and have new experiences in different fields as I am a very curious person with a lot of passion for life.

Autres infos...

I love spending time with people but also with myself. I practice meditation every day and sometimes yoga when I have enough space to do it. I also love going for a run in the mornings or evenings to keep myself active.

Spend time in nature is what makes my heart vibrate especially at the beach as I can hear the sound of the waves while enjoying nature I like to do some journaling or read a book when I am by myself and when I'm with others I like to play some sports at the beach as volleyball, frescobol or any other sport that can be played at the beach.

I am very excited about the new experience of being part of Workaway!
