G'day, I'm Steve,

Striving for "Experience over material possession".

An Aussie with a great work ethic, travelling long term. I have a passion for new experiences, am both hardworking, responsible, reliable and flexible.

My focus is to find an opportunity where I can get to know local people, customs, cultures, and make new friends.

A Scuba Diving Instructor of 5 yrs, musician, chase a fit and healthy lifestyle, and have minimal "life" commitments.
Largely throughout my working life, I have gained outstanding communication skills from a variety of industries with an understanding of the importance that I can directly affect the goals of the project.
I have a reputation of being trustworthy and dependable, confident that I can be an asset to you.

Social interests include, pushing the limits of my comfort zone, all things two wheel related (motorcycles & bicycles), music (watching live bands, and playing my ukulele & singing), salsa dancing and generally enjoy outdoor activities.
I enjoy encouraging curiosity, embrace diversity, resulting in meaningful connections.

WORKAWAY EXPERIENCE:
--Caretaker, Nukulevu Island, Fiji
Looking after 5 dogs, raking leaves & ground maintenance, repairs & maintenance to buildings, collecting & removing rubbish from the beach, rain water collection.
--S.S. Yongala, PADI Dive Master, Queensland, Australia.
See further below for details... this was a privately organised volunteer position that ended with employment.
--Guest House, Ollantaytambo, Peru: (x2)
Guesthouse reception duties.
Promoting and selling private tours and transfers.
Learning local knowledge and passing this onto the guests.
Taking promotional photo's and video for web and social media.
Cooking breakfast for guests.
Housekeeping.
Creation of daily procedures log.
Implementation of reservation channel manager system. (linking various channels to one reservation system)
Guesthouse "sitting" while the owners were on vacation.
--Organic Lemon Farm, Curacavi, Chile:
Feeding dogs and chickens at the farm.
General yard maintenance incl. pool cleaning and mowing of lawns.
Cleaning the hacienda.
Weeding, irrigation, planting and general maintenance of the vegetable garden.
Farm hand maintenance incl. collect and chop firewood, cleaning extra debris, cutting down unwanted trees within the orchard.
Making Pisco Sours for the foreman.

Teach Scuba - Dive Guide.
Scuba equipment set up & maintenance / Tank filling / Nitrox blending / Boat loading / Dive & safety briefing / Surface supervision / Underwater guiding / Course assistance / General dive shop duties including customer service & reception duties.
--Transport industry Spare Parts Interpretation and Service Adviser roles including Workshop Liaising and Administration, Computer Knowledge, Customer Service over the phone and face to face.
Retail Customer Service and Sales.
--Furniture Removals, Team Leader role including Truck Driving, Customer Liaising and Heavy Lifting.
