I'm in New Zealand at the moment - with a Working Holiday Visa.
I'm here to meet people and learn more about their culture, life's goal, jobs, what make them happy :) + let's hike&work together !Ma prochaine destination :

Oté, koman i lé ! « Hi, what’s up ? » That’s the way we greet people in Reunion Island, this tiny piece of paradise where I come from :) Lost into the Indian Ocean, with amazing landscapes, tasty cuisine and a rich and varied culture… that I decided to leave, searching for wider horizons, but also new skills and knowledges that I will eventually bring back home :)
I started my journey as a « Workawayer » a few years ago (before the Pandemy), as I was randomly traveling around the Mediteranean sea with a friend ; so far, this time of my life has been among the best experiences I ever had ! After the Covid brought me back home, I hesitated if I should hit the road again - but on my own this time ; not too long, as my longing was stronger than my fears : I finally decided to « jump the ocean « (another phrase from Reunion Island) to live a new Big Adventure :D
I spent the past 2 years exploring Australia and a bit of Asia, meeting amazing people and places, sharing incredible adventures and road-trips, working in different fields and learning a lot of things about gardening, cooking, housekeeping and, mostly, Life (and I found out that gardening and living are pretty similar : you plant, you water, you take care, remove the weeds and let beauty blossom and fruits to come ;)). After another break at home, I came back to Oceania, to pursue my journey and get a chance to live another genuine and selfless human experience. That’s also why I chose to re-suscribe to Workaway, a community that offers the opportunity to find trustful people and live unforgettable stories :)
*** What did I do in my previous Workaway experiences :
- gardening (a lot of weeding, but also planting flowers, taking care of veggie gardens and fruit trees, tree pruning) ;
- harvesting vegetables (onions, garlic, lettuces, tomatoes, zucchinis, and so on), picking fruits (pears, apples, cherries, berries, grapes) ;
- a bit of composting (but I still have to learn more about it) ;
- maintaining / creating walking trails and pathways (with logs, stones, gravels, wood sticks, ... and a lot of muscles !) ;
- fencing, painting houses, clearing gutters ;
- car washing, housekeeping ;
- cooking meals (on a budget/ vegan / gluten free).Centres d’intérêt

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
During my previous experiences as a volunteer, I did many different things, as harvesting nuts, fruits and vegetables ; helping around the house and cooking meals ; gardening and clearing a field after a storm ; working into an olive grove ; looking after dogs...
As a French teacher, I also helped into a school. As a photographer, I could teach you how to take pictures, or help you with the visual content of your pages (website, social networks,...). I practice yoga on my own and could share my few skills with you :)
I also worked as a fruit picker/pruner and a housekeeper. Always eager and willing to learn new things and get new abilities ! :DÂge

It is a nice location, perfect to meet other backpackers (and make bonds). The help in the hostel was mostly housekeeping during my stay, for only 2 to 3 hours (but expect to help everyday). I enjoyed my afternoon getaways (when it was not raining ^^") around… read more
This week with the family just flew, as we didn't have time to get bored : between the mornings'tasks (picking berries and eggs, feeding the chicken, chopping wood, harvesting apples and pears, making preserves, etc...), the deep, nice, cheering chats, the yoga/gym sessions with Matilda, the… read more
I stayed 3 weeks with Tama, Desley and her sister Sandra, not forgetting the playful Leo, and the calm Jake :) Tim, the "handy man", as well, who gave me the opportunity to drive a "banana car" and maipulate a "staples gun" - so much fun !
This family didn't betray the reputation of Kiwi people : nice, benevolant,… read more
