Hello Possible future Hosts!

We are Stef and Gita, a couple who recently quit their jobs to take some time off to explore other countries. We've lived all our lives (27 and 26) in the Netherlands, while also traveling at every oppurtunity that we got, and we want to see some more of the world and explore what its like to live in other places and learn from the people who live there.
Our plan is to convert a Ford Transit into a campervan to be able to travel longterm and do WorkAways as much as we can to meet new people and exchange skills and experiences.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

After traveling for quite a bit over the last 8 years since we met, we have been fortunate enough to discover beautiful places and meet kind and interesting people all around the world.
Now we want to take it a step further and therefore we both quit our dayjobs (Gita: English teacher and Stef: supplier manager) to be able to stay longer at the same place, really delve into the culture and build more of a connection with the people living there.
As mountain lovers living in the Netherlands, the absolute flattest country in the world, we are looking for places for longterm which will help fuel this mountain addiction.
What we can offer is a lot of energy and enthusiasm. We have been looking for ways to build things around the house and in the garden, but due to the lack of space in our student housing we dont get alot of opportunites to practice our skills. However we would love to learn and are ready to do the work. Naturally as a teacher, Gita loves (teaching) children of all ages and has done a lot of babysitting. Stef is very skilled with anything related to computers and knows some basic DIY. We are both into cooking and love trying to perfect international cuisine to our best abilities.
After studying at University and working at schools and offices for a couple of years, living more outdoors and working in nature and with animals is something we have been dreaming about for a while and a big reason why we are doing Workaways.
