Hey there! I'm Ivana, a new Workawayer, passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with others, while learning new things and getting inspired by awesome human beings.

After 15 years of work, I have decided to make a career break and to recalibrate my career journey. I would like to engage in volunteering, helping others, supporting community projects, and at the same time I would like to broaden my perspectives and gain more cultural awareness.

I have extensive academic background in the field of economy, and my career path so far included teaching; managing projects in the business sector and NGOs (Primary Education, Higher Education, Inclusion of Marginalized/Vulnerable Groups, Women Rights, Ecology and Arts).

Whenever I have free time, I use it towards offering pro-bono support to some local initiatives (including children, nature and arts) in my home country (North Macedonia). I also have international work experience, and I love the diversity the intercultural environment has to offer.

Therefore, if you are a Community, NGO or a School that is looking for a person who is organized, flexible, open-minded, dedicated, and determent in everything, I will be happy to talk to you about the details on how we can build a mutual collaboration.

My mission is to use my skills through conventional and unconventional methods, sprinkled with a great dose of fun! I have a wide range of experience to offer, but also, I do have a willingness to try new things, to learn new approaches and have fun adventures! :)

I recharge by engaging in my hobbies.

*Nature related:
- Gardening. Since I was a kid, we had a big garden with vegetables, trees and flowers, so I cannot imagine my life without a variety of plants.
- Animals. I love pets - any kind of animals, whenever I can, I help the stray animals (cats, dogs, birds).
- Hiking. I love hiking on the mountain tops but also enjoy just walking in nature on some of the amazing mountains we have here. North Macedonia is a predominantly mountainous country. Approximately 80% of the country consists of hills and mountains.

*Arts and Culture:
- Books. Love reading, from fiction to philosophy, from poetry to science, and everything in between that catches my attention.
- Art Exhibitions. I do enjoy visiting museums and different kind of art exhibitions.
- Embroidery. In the last 3 years I rediscovered self-expression of forms and colors through hand embroidery.
- Music and Dance. I love listening to music and going to concerts (Classical, Jazz, Blues, Pop, Hard Rock, World Ethnical, etc.). Also, dancing makes me happy, I have practiced Argentine Tango for 14 years now.
