My name is Sophia and I'm 21 years old. I love animals and to work with children. At the moment I want to see other countries with different people and improve my english. I would like to help and learn from other people.

My english is not the best, but I want to be better. I would be very happy to learn new languages. In South Africa I learned some Afrikaans words and tried my hand at Swahili on Duolingo.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

After secondary school I completed the training to become a Kindergarten teacher at the Bavarian academy for social pedagogy, wich included practical work stages in an after-school care center from 2018 to 2022 and worked as a state-certified educator for one year. I like to work with children and to raise them to become self-assured, independent and socially competent young people. In the last year I have acquired a lot of practical pedagogical knowledge by working as the group leader of 36 children aged between six and seven years, as well as gained experience in working with parents.

From september to december 2023 I took part in volunteering projects in south africa. I supported equestrian therapy for children with disabilities in Cape Town and helped on a horse farm near Nelspruit. Working in the projects taught me a lot of new things, I enjoyed traveling and working with people and horses.

Because of my work in a daycare center I have experience in working with children of different ages, supporting and encouraging them, being able to work in a team and take responsibility for a group. I like to do crafts, read books, play games, do sports and music and just spend time with the children.
My english is not the best, but I’m trying to improve myself. If someone would like to learn german, I would be happy to help.
