Hello my name is Sofia. I am 28 years old and from Denmark. I am educated as a nurse/infermiera. I am a caring, positive, creative, outgoing young woman. One of my natural strong skills, I am smiling and cheerful when I am at work, this is shown by the fact that I always have a smile on my face when I meet other people. In addition to this, I also adapt easily to new environments. I am helpful, flexible, listening and respectful.

At the moment I work as a volunteer through the European Solidarity Corps, in an organization in Putignano BA, where I support children with homework and support by arranging activities. I am really motivated for this project, as I am very passionate about making a difference for children and especially for those who are struggling.

Besides that, I am very motivated and passionate about learning Italian. My goal is to become fluent in the language. In Denmark I took private lessons once a week and here in Putignano, I get 1/2 hours private lessons every day.

I have been on several holidays and trips to Italy. I have always been fascinated by the country, the people, the culture, the food and the language. In this connection, I have a dream of living in Italy for a period and being able to speak the beautiful language. I love to travel, to meet new people and experience new cultures. I love being in nature, love animals and love being by the water. I like going to the theater, museums and art exhibitions. I like listening to music and going to concerts.I like to go for long walks and hiking.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am educated as a nurse and before I went to Italy, I worked on a daily basis in a bed ward for people over 18 with lymphoma cancer. I have good experience in working with people from different social backgrounds. With my nursing education, I also have experience in psychiatry, here I provided care through, among other things, presence, active listening, recognition and confirmation. Here I was also co-responsible for arranging daily activities such as going for walks in the park, cooking together and painting/playing games.

In addition, I also have experience in geriatric care, through my valuable work with elderly and frail citizens in nursing homes.

I can also contribute with my previous experience in working with children, through my au pair stay in England, as well as temporary jobs in kindergartens and in a nursery.
