Hi there! Mi name is Silja and I’m in my final year of studying Veterinary Sciences. I especially enjoy working with cows, sheep and goats and I love that that gives me the opportunity to be outside, as I really like spending time in nature and exploring new places. Learning new things, sharing experiences and connecting with others is what I'm passionate about. So I'm excited to start my journey and contribute my skills through workaway!

I'd love to improve my Spanish and French skills. I love travelling to a country and connecting to people through communication so I think speaking the language of your destination can lead to a whole different experience! I also enjoy teaching others my mother tongue German and I'm confident in speaking and teaching English as well.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am flexible, love to organize and I'm very curious in learning new things and taking on new challenges. I am currently in the final stages of my Veterinary Sciences degree, which I pursued in Vienna. Working at a veterinary clinic, along with various placements in different countries, has provided me with extensive knowledge in animal care. I also have experience with children from frequent babysitting.
Next to my study, I have worked at an event venue, where I developed valuable customer service skills.
I’m passionate about DIY crafts (such as making dreamcatchers or weaving baskets for instance) , acroyoga and inline skating, and I love teaching others what I know. I enjoy working with people and I thrive in tasks that involve organizing, tidying up and cleaning.
My native language is German. I also speak fluent English after spending time abroad and I’m learning French and Spanish.
