Description

Hi there,

my name is Silas, I´m 19 years old and I´m from Friedrichshafen in Germany. In my free time I love meeting friends or doing sports like skating, surfing, canoeing, hiking, climbing and fitness. I'm always up for something stupid or crazy and my biggest dream is sailing around the world or living in a Van for a couple years.

I dreamed about travelling the world for many years and have always used my vacations to work in different jobs to build my budget to eventually start my trip.

This September my dream came true! I flew to Chile and have since had the best time of my life. Meeting new people that I now consider my friends, experiencing things I would never have imagined and seeing the nature I have always dreamed of seeing!

Originally my plan was to stay in Chile for roughly 3 Months and then continue with French Polynesia and New Zealand.
However upon arrival in Santiago, Chile I basically fell in love with South America right away and now plan on staying there for the entire time I got (max. September 2024).
The Idea is to travel up northwards on the Westcoast, visiting Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador and Columbia where I'll eventually end my trip.

I´m a very spontaneous person that is easy to get along with and generally likes making himself useful or learning something new.

I speak German and English fluently and am currently learning Spanish (small talk level).

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Languages: German (fluently), english (almost fluently), spanish (enough to communicate simple things)

Work experience: I´ve been working in a cheese-factory for over 5 years now and have picked up another job as an ice cream vendor that I do whenever I´m needed. Furthermore I´ve just recently been an assembly-line worker for 4 weeks and have also worked at a hotel reception for about 6 weeks.

Other skills: I know how to cook a few simple dishes and have often helped my parents with chores (building a small wall, getting rid of shrubs or paintig a room).
I also have a drivers license and have been a school paramedic for 4 years!
