Description
I have had many workaway experiences over the past 8 years on farms, in hostels and even on a boat. I am happy to do farm/animal work, any kind of gardening & maintenance or cooking.
I grew up in the country with animals around me. Horses, donkeys, chickens cats and dogs etc. I love working with animals whenever I get the chance.
I studied science but have recently started a trade apprenticeship to become an electrician. I like working with my hands and learning new skills.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I have had experience working in hostels, cleaning making beds and some reception work. Also building using natural materials such as cob and mud brick, I've also worked on goat farms where I fed and cared for the goats, and helped milking etc. I've worked with sheep, cattle, pigs, donkey, horses, birds, you name it. I am confident with animals and love spending time caring for them, giving them food, water and love. I have worked also on fruit farms such as pomegranates, I can prune trees pick fruits and help care for the land, I have also worked on an herb farm, I can sort herbs and hopefully identify which ones not to go near!
I briefly worked for a trail riding company near Melbourne before it shut down last year. I took out between 2-5 people with beginner to intermediate experience. I love working with horses and always want to improve my riding skills.

We picked raspberries in the morning which was very easy, gentle and enjoyable work, then had the afternoons free to do as we pleased. I spent an amazing 10 days with Shane and Alison and the resident staff and artists. This little community is set in a beautiful area surrounded by oak trees and cactii. They were very kind and generous, there was always good food and the place where the helpers slept was warm and comfortable. The work was not taxing and very fair. Nic, Bruce, Poppy, Ella (and Caro) are one of the most generous families I have ever had the privilege to stay with. They are all so welcoming and easy to be a part of.

My two weeks here was lovely. Danny was a great head wwoofer and was always open to answering any questions. The work was fair, 5 hours a day just as it says on the profile. We got to do some gardening, looking after the animals and we worked at Maia's house one day which was also a nice change.

My 2 weeks at the hostel were really memorable, I was able to meet lots of great guests and also volunteers and everyone there was super warm and open.
