Hello everyone! My name is Jia, and I’m really excited to join the Workaway community. I love traveling, meeting new people, and experiencing different cultures. For me, volunteering is not only about helping others, but also about learning, sharing, and growing together.

I have previous experience as a volunteer in a hostel in Dahab, Egypt. where I helped with reception, housekeeping, and social activities for guests. This experience taught me how to be responsible, flexible, and open-minded, and it gave me the chance to connect with people from all over the world. I really enjoyed creating a warm and welcoming environment for travelers.

Since I am from China, I would be very happy to share with you more about Chinese culture and language. If you are interested in Mandarin or want to know more about China, I’ll be glad to share my knowledge and stories with you.

I consider myself an easygoing, positive, and reliable person. I enjoy working both independently and as part of a team. In my free time, I like hiking, swimming, diving, reading.

I’m looking forward to contributing my skills and energy, while also discovering new places and cultures through Workaway. I believe that every exchange is a two-way street: I hope to give my best, and at the same time, I know I will learn a lot from the people I meet.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have some practical skills that I believe can be useful for different kinds of hosts. I have experience working on the land and growing crops, so I am not afraid of physical work and I enjoy being outdoors. I also know how to make coffee and would be happy to help in a café or a guesthouse setting. In addition, I’m good at doing household tasks such as cleaning, and keeping things organized.

Overall, I am flexible, willing to learn, and happy to take on new challenges.
