I'm interested in exploring new towns, seeing some beautiful art, and meeting individuals from all parts of the world!
Description

I'm motivated by my love of art, teaching, and connecting with individuals from all walks of life. I am interested in traveling to different countries and being immersed in various cultures with the intention of broadening my understanding of the world and the people who shape it.

I have experience in childcare, have worked with multiple volunteer groups to paint murals throughout my hometown, am a total nature and animal lover, and overall creative human being. I love to read and write, spend time in nature, paint and draw, and connect with friends and family.

I'm taking 7-8 months to travel all across Europe and hope to find some families to help out with, as well as see as many beautiful places as possible!

I am an artist and have experience in caretaking and teaching swim classes to youth. I have worked as a barista in a coffee shop for over three years, so I have developed strong communication skills and a work ethic. I have contributed to multiple murals for community spaces and played water polo for five years, which taught me about the power of commitment and responsibility.

This was my first workaway, and I couldn’t have landed at a better place!! As soon as I started messaging with Laura, she made me feel so safe and excited to be a temporary member of the family, as Perla’s tata. I felt instantly comfortable in the house and quickly connected with Perla and Diana. Perla is the absolute cutest, sweetest, and … read more funniest girl I’ve ever babysat. She is strong-willed, a fast learner, and has an endless stream of ideas for playtime, which makes the job easy as long as you’re ready to bring a positive, energetic attitude and a willingness to be patient and work with her through all the ups and downs that come with being a 4-year-old. Perla is an extremely loving girl who enjoys lots of cuddles and ADORES being spun around or held upside down (she’ll show ya how to do it right). Diana is a creative, smart, funny, and mature girl who is very passionate about her art and dance. She’s very independent and doesn’t need much more than the occasional meal from you, which made it easy for me to step into more of a friend/older sister role with her. We bonded over our love for Stranger Things (yes, we made our way through the entire show during my stay), her very cool music taste, and our English lessons. Penny is an adorable dog, and our walks were some of my favorite times of the day. The park is right across the street from their house, which is so nice for morning and mid-day walks, and the neighborhood is super safe to walk around at night as well. Viareggio was an absolute dream; the area wasn’t too busy during my stay, which I personally prefer. There are cafés on every street and clothing stores, art shops, and restaurants everywhere. For nightlife, there are quite a few spots, but I mostly stuck to a bar called Cro, which was where I met quite a few friends and got to know the ins and outs of Viareggio from locals. Laura is very kind and patient with you and gives great recommendations for things to do/places to visit. She’s definitely pretty particular with how she likes things done, but she communicates those expectations well and will remind you if needed. She goes out of her way to make you feel included in the family, has a great sense of humor, and was overall such a perfect guide for all of this. When you read this, THANK YOU!! I absolutely loved my time here!
