Hi ! I'm Sasha, a 24 years old french guy who just finished his masters in cultural studies.

After a sabbatical year in Paris, where I worked in a restaurant, I would really like to come back to work in Spain and possibly settle down here. To embark on this long journey, I have decided to start by volunteering, as this way of working is very important to me. It reflects a horizontal organisation in production, placing human relationships at the centre of creation, with curiosity and exchange as the driving force. It may sound clichéd, but I think these are subversive forms of capitalist production that make sense to me today.

So, coming from an academic background, linked to theoretical and scientific work, I am really keen to discover new, much more manual ways of working. It doesn't scare me; I have always been very curious and very involved in my work. Having already lived alone several times in different countries (Spain and Argentina), I have already been able to enrich my knowledge through different experiences.

Also, living in the French capital made me miss traveling and meeting new people. So I once again envy the fact that I can help people and participate in their projects while sharing knowledge and our cultures.

All this is a bit long, haha, but I prefer to be honest, so at least you'll know who I am. Besides that, I'm just a very sociable guy who enjoys meeting people, nature, music, discussing life, art, politics, and activist work with my friends.

I've already taught Spanish for one year in Fundacion Harribide based in Etxebarri (Bilbao). Loved teaching language, had plenty of liberty to experience learning methods different from the classical scholar way. I tried to make the lessons as lively as possible and to address topics that directly affected the audience I was teaching Spanish to. I used examples from their daily lives and their knowledge to make learning as useful and effective as possible. It was such a great experience and I would love to do it again.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Aside of french, my English and my Spanish are practically fluent. I've recently spent one year working in Bilbao in a reception center for refugees. Alongside my main task of Spanish teacher, i helped creating cultural project and updating the center's communication.
My experience is mainly team work , working as a community, cooking together, gardening and organizing the different tasks. I also worked on holiday camps or associations with a lot of children in social homes and foster homes as an activity leader. I also spent several weeks in a rehabilitation association for ex-prisoners where we worked in market gardening.

I am a very cheerful person who likes to meet people. I love to laugh, to cook and dance. I have several passions which are all related to curiosity. I love to discover and listen to music but also to play it. I have been playing the piano for 6 years now. I am also very interested in other arts like cinema or literature. I enjoy studying culture and history. That's why I'm currently studying for a degree in political science and i would like to continue in this way by working on decolonial studies. When i want to feel good i like to do sports or do hiking and discover new places.
