Description

My name is Sarah, I am a painter and climate organizer residing in Burlington, Vermont on the shores of Lake Champlain. I love to ride my bicycle, spend time with animals, spend time outdoors, discuss what I am passionate about and what brings others passion, and connect with others deeply. I try to be as mindful as possible, and am trying to meditate more often. One thing that drives me is climate change and I consider myself an environmentalist.

My dad and most of my family was born in Sicily, and I am hoping to spend some time there this summer to connect to my roots. I have spent the last several years deep in school and activism and am hoping to become immersed in a different type of work this summer, and become connected to my Italian heritage. I walk the line between introverted and extraverted, and love meeting new people as well as keeping to myself.

I am a fast learner and began working as a teenager in art instruction. I am open to just about anything, and have worked in customer service, hospitality, policial organizing, social media, education, and other fields. I love working with children, social media, painting, instructing, and writing.

I am open-minded and love the natural world and connecting with other people, and will bring that with me wherever I end up!

I am a fast learner-- and am very willing to work hard. My skills are mainly based in the arts, community organizing, political organizing, and communications (social media, copywriting etc.) I also have a background in childcare.

I really love spending time outdoors and am open to learning new things!!
