Hello!

We are Sarah and Majbrit, two 18-year-old friends from Germany who are excited to explore the world, meet new people, and gain meaningful experiences through Workaway.

We have known each other for many years through school as well as our volunteer work with children and young people. We both completed a youth work training program and have gained experience working with children in different settings. Volunteering is an important part of our lives, and we are both actively involved in our local church community.

Currently, Majbrit has just finished her Abitur, and Sarah is completing her Fachhochschulreife. Before starting the next chapter of our lives, we would love to spend time abroad, experience different cultures, and contribute wherever help is needed.

Sarah is an open-minded, adventurous, and energetic person who loves travelling and trying new things. Her hobbies include cooking, singing, hiking, and staying active through sports. She enjoys meeting new people and is always eager to learn new skills.

Majbrit is a thoughtful, kind, and calm person who loves reading, singing, and being active outdoors. While she may be a little quieter, she is very reliable and caring. We balance each other out well and work great as a team.

We both speak German and English fluently, and Majbrit also has knowledge of Latin and Ancient Greek.

One of our shared experiences has been working together in large kitchens. We have cooked for youth camps and holiday camps on three different occasions, preparing meals for larger groups. Through this, we learned teamwork, flexibility, organization, and how to stay positive even during busy and challenging situations.

We are responsible, friendly, hardworking, and always willing to help. We are excited to learn from new experiences, connect with people from different backgrounds, and contribute with a positive attitude wherever we go.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Sarah:
I am an open-minded, outgoing, and creative person who enjoys meeting new people and working as part of a team. I have completed youth leader training, which helped me develop strong communication and social skills. I love getting involved in social activities, learning new things, and bringing a good sense of humor wherever I go.
I speak solid English and feel comfortable communicating with people from different backgrounds. In school, my main subjects were Psychology and Education, which gave me valuable insights into human behavior, learning, and teamwork.

Majbrit:
I have experience in cooking and baking, organizing and household chores.
I've completed youth-leader-training and worked with children on different occasions, from leisure activities to tutoring.
I'm handy and did some renovation with my friends for a shared youth room, and I'm happy to expand those skills and learn from you!
Also working in a garden (harvesting, planting, landscaping, stacking firewood...) or taking care of animals is not new to me, so I'll be happy to help out!
