Description
Hey all, I am Sandra! Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada but have lived all over Canada. An introverted extrovert who is ready for her next adventure.
I have driven across Canada a total of 6 times in this life - I love the country and it's vastness, but now I am ready to see more and finally travel "across the pond".
The things I adore most in this life are simple; a slow morning chasing a sunbeam with a coffee and a book (or journal), wandering in the forest (usually with my cat), sharing secrets and dreams with inspiring humans, and being a forever unofficial student of everything.
One of my favorite adventures thus far has been when I bought an old Toyota, built a bed/sleeper unit in the back using a lot of recycled materials. Then I drove north to Yukon Territory and spent the summer living in the woods in my truck. I got to learn about some local plant life, make friends with foxes, tackle my fear of swimming alone and learn just how capable of a human I am!
Currently I am working in the social work field, after getting a diploma in counselling and social services. My job is 80% chill with a sprinkling of chaos and crisis management. It is a field that I fit very well in at this stage of my life and hope to grow into a more counselling heavy career in the future. I love connecting, communicating and holding space for people while making them feel seen and heard.
But for now; it is time to get moving and shaking on a little European adventure. I hope to spend a month in Spain and finally learn conversational spanish and then see a bit of some other parts of Europe.
