Les activités qui m'intéressent :

I am about to embark on a journey to Puglia Italy to explore my ancestral roots (both sides of my family come from Puglia three generations back). I play music and love gardening, hiking, & laughing.

Description

I am about to embark on a journey to explore my ancestral roots in Puglia, Italy, and am very excited to connect with the land and the culture and people there!
Playing and writing music is a big part of my life - I play multiple stringed instruments and write songs. I love learning about a culture through learning its music, and I hope to do some of that while in Italy.
Nature is also a huge part of my life - I love going on outdoor adventures - hiking, camping, swimming, backpacking, bicycling. It gives me great joy to connect to land wherever I am, and is part of my spirituality.
I also love gardening and permaculture. It always makes me happy to get my hands in the dirt and work on earthy projects, making gardens, planting fruit trees, etc.
Another hobby of mine is fermentation - I love making vegetable and grain ferments, and honey wine/mead. Ask me to play my song about fermentation :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I've got 15 years of experience with organic gardening. I used to do it for work, and now more as a hobby, but have always had at least a small vegetable garden of my own. I've worked a lot with fruit trees (planting and maintenance), nurseries, and edible landscaping. I have some basic carpentry skills as well. I love physical/manual labor, and am generally a fast learner and good with my hands and making and fixing things. Have got a good aesthetic sense and artistic eye as well.
I've got a lot of experience as a cook as well, and have cooked for large groups of people.

I already mentioned music but will say it again here, as I would love to find hosts who also play music, so I can have that interchange with them - jamming and teaching each other songs! I play guitar mostly, but will be traveling with my mandolin, and I sing and write songs.
