Hello I'm Ruth :) I'm 28 from Manchester UK. Usually I work in environmental policy for the public sector in the UK, but Im on a 12 month sabbatical to explore New Zealand. I am very outdoors-oriented and spend most of my time tramping, camping, and running in the hills, so ideally looking to be based where there is plenty of opportunity for that kind of thing. I also love art and music, and have really enjoyed previous workaways assisting with creative projects. I'm also interested in ways of living which are very different to my own, and interested in workaways which can broaden my horizons and teach me new practical skills. Do get in touch!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

English first language, variety experience working in customer service and hospitality, decent cook. Some experience decorating and gardening, lots of experience with kids including teaching primary age children. Worked with horses as a teenager although not much since. Competent at DIY but not too many practical skills beyond this. Physically pretty fit and happy doing manual stuff.

I'm very outdoorsy, and interested in any opportunities which let me spend time outside, particularly where there is an opportunity to learn about the nature and wildlife around me. I spend a lot of my free time running, particularly trail and mountain running, and am always looking for new routes and places to explore. I also love cooking and am happy to pitch in with making meals wherever I am.
