Description
Hi there I'm Simon, a 24-year-old traveler from the UK, passionate about exploring different cultures. Since finishing uni, I've been traveling, around the world from Prague to Buenos Aires. I enjoy immersing myself in new cultures and languages. I have played chess all my life and although I'm still not very good I find it a good way of connecting with people from around the world as it requires no mutual language to enjoy. I find it Hiking has always been a big part of my life, and I love exploring the different landscapes of the world. My other passion is learning the History of the places I visit, both local and national, and seeing how their cultures developed over time especially how it has affected the linguistics of the area.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I am a native English speaker and I also know some basic Spanish.I have a in-person TEFL certificate. I've gained some teaching experience, mostly with secondary school students aged 11-19. I enjoy the act of teaching and connecting with pupils from all over the world. The interchange of cultures that occurs when trying to teach different people English is fascinating to me and I like to look into the inner workings of the native languages of my students. I then use this to better tailor my lessons to try and find common ground with them.
I have also worked with charities based around ecological protection and renewal. During these roles I obtained experience both conducting ecological surveys, for example, monitoring seaweed beds, but also consolidating this information into presentations for donors.
