Hi there!
My name is Rosie, I am 19 years old and looking for workaways and buddies!
I love animals and spend my free time riding my horses on the beaches and trails surrounding my home. I also am a wildlife carer, my room is usually shared with possums, wallabies or birds!
For most of my childhood I lived on a boat so love the water, I am a keen scuba diver, snorkeler, swimmer and kayaker.
I love reading and watercolour, and dabble in sketching, needle felting, and painting.
I about to set off for my first time solo travelling so hoping workaway will help me get to know new areas and meet some friends!

Certifications:
Drivers Licence
Chainsaw Licence - Chopping firewood and trimming branches. I have been on weeding trips using chainsaws to remove box thorn from remote islands.
Divers Licence - Padi Open Water
Responsible Service of Alcohol - Worked in bars at festivals
First Aid - Have the training but luckily haven't had to use it much!
Elements of Shipboard Safety

Skills and Experience:
Gardening - I am a keen gardener around home and also have run my own plant stall at the local market for about 6 years, propagating and growing ferns, orchids, veggies and more.
Riding - I have 8 horses and am responsible for all aspects of care including checking fences and water, daily feeding, grooming, rugging when necessary, hoof care (I know basic barefoot trimming skills), dentistry and vet appointments ect.
Wildlife - I have been a carer and rescuer for 4 years, involving locating and catching injured and distressed wildlife, as well as raising orphaned wildlife including pademelons, possums, and many types of birds.
Animals - I have two dogs, a cat, chickens, pigeons, ducks, sheep, guinea pigs and rats and handle their daily care, as well as having experience with many more farm and household animals due to many regular pet sitting jobs having a wide array of animals.
Sales work - I have worked in a small art shop for the last 2 years, using skills around customer service, money handling and conflict diffusing.
Cleaning and House sitting - I clean Air BnBs and house sit regularly with many places having specific care and maintenance requirements.
Working with Children - I have been involved in many mentorship programs at school and attend kids birthday parties with my horses and other animals.
