Hi there!
We are Rosie & Jules - a Spanish/English and German couple joining this community to meet new people and learn about different cultures around the world.
Rosie has just got back from Pakistan and now we are starting our new adventure in Canada, arriving in Vancouver at the end of January!
We believe the best way to start a journey is by getting to know the local way of life and we love connecting with others through Workaway for this reason.
Throughout our past we have worked in many different types of jobs with people, animals and plants. We love the outdoors, are not afraid to get our hands dirty and always eager to learn (We have work/travel IEC Visa if this is necessary at any point).
Above all we are respectful, easy going, open minded and hard working.
We both have travelled and lived in many corners around the world so now we are very excited to call Canada our home for the coming months!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Rosie here - I grew up in the Campo (Spanish word for countryside!) so very used to working outdoors, gardening, lifting, digging etc.
I have a lot of experience with people giving care to the elderly, assisting with wedding planning and working many flights as Cabin Crew.
For the last 3 years I have been working as an Assistant Producer/Director at a small documentary film production company. Building strong experience with cameras, organising + directing shoots, editing and other IT skills. We also run varios different workshops for international students. When I can, I am out with my camera for my love for photojournalism and passion for storytelling!
In the past whilst traveling I have volunteered in various projects - helping out at Moria Refugee Camp, working on environmental projects in Madagascar and teaching english in schools/orphanages.
For my part, Jules - I grew up in the Region of Hagen in Germany and come very prepared for rainy and cold days, in comparison to my southern Spanish partner. Even though I'm starting to forget since I also moved to Spain 5 years ago where we met in Barcelona.
During the past years I was working in several different fields always trying to learn something new.
I worked in hospitality for over 5 years in restaurants, bars, music festivals and hotels - always enjoying the dynamic work and giving people a great time.
I have a lot of customer service and logistic tasks experience working for sports clothing companies to understand international trade.
The outdoors always called me so I've done various jobs in nature (the majority of them through HelpX) - gladioli picking, gardening, maintaining the land at a horse farm and constructing food terraces for farming whilst also making a pizza oven from just the materials we found at the river!
In the past years I had the opportunity to travel all around as a project manager in huge industrial plants and was leading and organising international cleaning and maintenance teams, where I also learned some technical skills.
In general there are few things that don’t excite us and we can’t wait to learn something new!
