I'm Romana, 26 years old and from Germany. After a long time staying at home, I decided to travel again. In 2019 I had my first travelling experience in New Zealand. I did a work and travel and stayed there for 10 months. It was the most life-changing experience to me. I grew a lot, met the most amazing souls and gained a lot of trust in myself and life.

In 2020 my next destination should have been Switzerland. But I ended up helping on a private animal sanctuary in Fuerteventura. This was the biggest gift for me because I fall in love with all the different kinds of animals and since then I feel a deeper connection to the animals and love to care for them.

Now I feel like it's time to travel again. I'm even more connected to mother earth and love to connect deeply with nature and all the beautiful souls on earth. I really want to help to make a difference for our planet and raise the consciousness. I want to share love and kindness and live in balance to nature. I believe that there is a higher purpose why everyone is here, and I know that travelling is helping me to get back to my own nature. At the moment I feel a calling to go to Peru and I've learned to trust that little voice inside of me. So I'm very curious where life brings me next.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I'm a very empathetic person and love to care for people. In my social voluntary year, after graduating from school, I helped an 11-year-old girl who had autistic features to integrate in a "normal" school. Within this year, I learned to be very patient and how to deal with different situations.

Besides, I have always been interested in personal development. I started my own journey and went to all kinds of workshops and seminars. I grew a lot and wanted to help others on their journey. So I volunteered as a crew member, and later I worked for the same start-up. I gained experience in copy writing and a bit in working with people and holding space for them during transformational processes.

I also love to care for the animals. During the time on the animal sanctuary I had contact to 40 animals which included ducks, chicken, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, a turtle, birds etc. And I also organized a fundraising for the amazing work the family did.

Originally I'm trained to work in a medical laboratory. I've learned to work very detailed, organized and exactly which is a very good skill for other tasks too.

During my work and travel in New Zealand I learned to prune trees and do some thinning on a kiwi orchard. I also gained some experience in gardening, for example I helped with weeding in the vegetable garden. Besides I had the chance to plant some native trees which was very fulfilling.
