Hello I am Robin (27)

I am from Germany, I was living in Berlin the last years and I recently moved to south-west Germany to refurbish the cozy barn, where I live during summer.

I studied Sustainable Management of Rural Regions near Tübingen in the south-west of Germany. The content was mainly about regional economics, sustainable tourism and nature conservation. My bachelorthesis was about the chances and possibilities of permaculture related to an Tiny House complex.

I worked in gardening, maintenance, contruction and hospitality at the community i was growing up, GartenCoop Freiburg (CSA), WohnWagon (Tiny Houses), Zenner (beergarden), some bars and a construction company in Berlin that is called FairWork.
This spring i just started my own little business in construction and maintenance all around the house and garden.

My family once restored an 100 year old farmers house when I was a teenager. In this process I learned the basics in contruction trades such as bricklaying, woodworking, plumbing, roofbuilding, painting, electricity.
I continued with my campervan, building lamps out of re-valued materials, furniture and also a tiny house for myself, where I lived in. The last years I helped in setting up Festivals like Wurzelfestival or Fuchs und Hase Festival (creative woodwork).
Also I know a little about fixing cars and a lot about restoring bicycles.


I had great workaway-hosts so far:

- Jamaika (building the kitchen of a hostel)
- Berlin (permaculture gardening and construcion)
- Spain (facility management, maintenance and woodwork)
- Nicaragua (permaculture gardening, contruction, woodwork, animalcare)

I lived in shared flats and eco communities during my studies, now I live by myself and for the nearest future my plan is to buy a Rustico in Liguria to restore it. First I want to check out how other people live this lifestyle - thats why I am back on workaway again and very motivated to get to know you!! :)
