Hey there, we are Nehal and Pratik.

We have recently moved to Spain. We both love slow travel and really enjoy exploring the culture and art of new places. We are old school, so we enjoy long conversations, sunset walks, playing board games, and picnics. We also share a love for long walks around the city or wherever we are (that’s how we met).
Besides this, we have both studied architecture for our bachelor’s degrees, so our love for art, architecture, and history comes naturally to us. We also have a fondness for sketching, especially while traveling, as a way to document our experiences. Recently, we have gone mad over birdwatching but we’ll leave that to discuss in person, because this topic is too beautiful to write about.

Nehal is an artist experimenting with different mediums such as watercolors, natural colors, bookbinding, and the list goes on. She is the kind of person who gets excited when she encounters big trees (yes, it’s true). She falls in love with every flower, bird, and leaf she comes across. She is so deeply inspired by nature that it clearly reflects in her work.

Pratik is currently doing a PhD in Urban Transport Planning, and before that, he completed his master’s degree in Italy. He enjoys traveling, especially solo travel. He has been to some truly beautiful places and has many stories to share. Don’t forget to ask him about his sketches they are one of a kind. He is curious about many things, and you will often find him searching for new perspectives. He learned several skills in building with natural materials while volunteering in India and Nepal. He has his roots in agriculture, growing up closely connected to the land and rural life. Besides this, he enjoys cycling, camping, and other adventure sports.

Through Workaway, we look forward to learning new skills, meeting amazing people, having long conversations on various topics, sharing culture, good food, and a good dose of laughter.
