Hello!

My name is Pia, I'm 20 years old and currently studying to become a teacher in Germany.

I enjoy getting to know new people, cultures and food!
I'm a crafty person with lots of experience in childcare (children aged 6-12).

Good to know: I'm vegetarian, got no allergies, don't smoke, have a drivers license and my own car.

I'm actually studying to become an English and Pedagogy teacher in Germany so I'm definitely interested in improving my own English skills. Since I'm studying to become a teacher, teaching others in a country other than Germany would also be highly interesting. I would also enjoy teaching other people some German or learn another language entirely.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

In the past I've participated in many different activities that included caring for children:
- a sports club in school (2017-2018)
- 'Digital Scouts' in University, a program that teaches children how to write blogs and actually publish some on a regulated website (2022);
- looking after 6-12 year olds during a summer holiday program hosted by the local youth center since 2019

My newest project is called PK5. I will accompany fifth graders in May on their first overnight school trip and help them get to know each other in that new class composition through team-trust-exercises.

I'm also in possession of a youth leader card (Jugendleitercard) which allows me to care for children in Germany.

My mother language is German but I'm fluent in English.

I enjoy DIY-ing and crafting. I'm pretty good at sewing and crocheting and actually tought myself using English videos and therefore use the English crocheting terms as well.

Doing harder work is definitely something I am capable and willing to do.
If something is shown to me I'm pretty sure I'm able to pick up on that skill as well.

I'm currently working in a cinema so I do enjoy to watch movies and talk about them afterwards. When I do watch movies at home, I often crochet while watching.
