Hello, my name is Paula, I am 24 years old and I come from Stralsund, Germany. At the moment I am travelling solo as a backpacker, but back home I worked as a paramedic. I really love my job, working with people and doing something meaningful with my time and skills.

In my free time I enjoy hiking, doing creative and crafty projects, and spending quality time with my favourite people. I also enjoy spending time on my own, listening to audiobooks while painting or simply enjoying my surroundings.

People would probably describe me as an extrovert because I like chatting and can get enthusiastic about almost any topic. Especially when it involves creativity, crafts, or being outdoors in nature, I am always happy to join in. Topics like equality, women’s rights, and reducing animal suffering are also important to me, and I always enjoy conversations or projects connected to these values. The only thing that needs a bit more motivation for me is going out partying late at night. I love music and dancing, but I prefer a relaxed and cosy atmosphere at home with people you feel comfortable and safe with.

While travelling, I enjoy meeting new people and hearing their stories, and from time to time I like staying longer in one place instead of always moving on. It’s nice to get a small glimpse into everyday life somewhere and not just pass through. I also enjoy having tasks and being involved in whatever is going on, especially when people are working on something they really care about and that I feel deserves more attention. So I am looking forward to getting to know you and your place, and supporting where I can during my stay, in whatever way that may be.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a pretty creative person. I love crafty stuff and have tried nearly everything without being a real professional at anything. I am interested in painting projects, making and editing videos, working with wood, writing texts, or doing creative activities with kids. I am always happy to join in and usually have many ideas about how to get involved.

In Germany, I worked for several years with children at a Catholic holiday camp as a supervisor. I am used to organising workshops and trips with kids, as well as playing games with them or helping them learn something new.

Besides my experience as a supervisor, I am a trained paramedic and worked in emergency medical services for five years. I have knowledge of emergency medicine and advanced first aid. I know how to treat critical wounds, recognise life-threatening conditions, and apply the necessary medical care and treatment.

Besides my qualifications, I am easily motivated for nearly any kind of job and enjoy learning new skills.
