Hi there!
We are Lea and Paul, an enthusiastic couple from Germany who quit their jobs to move from rainy Essen to sunny Barcelona. To be honest, our first thought where to move to was Central or South America but after further consideration we realized that we don’t want that big of a distance to our family. Nevertheless, we decided at least to give ourselves 4.5 months to experience the vibe and the day-to-day live in Panama, Nicaragua and Costa Rica (and to see what we’re missing out on😉). Lea had the chance to spend 2 months in Colombia in 2019 and together we spent a 3-week-vacation travelling through Mexico what made us even more curious to explore other countries and cultures in Central America, get to know the people, discover the nature and improve our language skills!
We love to try and teach ourselves new things (like bouldering, chess, pilates, coding (Paul), drawing present cards (Lea)) and be active and outside (not least as a balance to our current office jobs).

We both have a drivers license.

Paul
- Works as a Data Analyst for ~4 years (using Python, SQL, Excel, PowerBI, Tableau)
- Worked for 3 months parttime as a vendor in a bakery
- Helped his parents renovating their home over the past 2 decades (He didn't plan it but followed the instructions of his dad.)
- Helped his grandparents gardening
- Loves every kind of sports (hockey, bouldering, chess, table tennis, calisthenics, ...)

Lea
- Works in communications / PR / marketing for landscaping projects
- Loves to explore the world
o Helped out in a kindergarten in Barranquilla, Colombia (2 months)
o Worked in Disneyland Paris, France as a vendor (2 months)
o Internship in Paris, France, in destination marketing (3 months)
o Internship in Palma, Spain, in tourism marketing (3 months)
o Studied abroad in Xiamen, China (10 months)
- Worked in destination marketing organizations, advised people and organized travels
- Helped her parents gardening
