Language, community and culture are things that bring joy to my soul and are the reason why I love exploring the world. A deep belief I hold is in the power of the people you surround yourself with, and the fulfilment that comes in supporting those people to be the best versions of themselves. I hope to live up to this by being a calm, friendly, joyful and logical person who learns from those around me.

I enjoying embracing vulnerability in the new things I try. I also hold a deep respect and love for learning new things, be it a new language, skill or otherwise. I hope to not only share my love for learning and to teach those around me, but to learn from the community that surrounds me.

I am (was?) a high school teacher from Australia who is looking to learn something from everyone. Teaching is something I am passionate about, and I am very interested in remaining connected with this practice to some degree. Throughout East Africa, I have taught a range of subjects with emphasis on teaching in local languages. This teaching has been done at a variety of locations, including local schools, orphanages and organisations. I place a big emphasis on exploring any context I enter to ensure the teaching I offer is relevant and shares power with those around me.

I am flexible, a quick learner, reflective and am not afraid of a challenge.
