Les activités qui m'intéressent :

I am a biology student, finishing my masters in Belgium. I am excited to travel, experience new cultures and see new places. I would be happy to spend time in a rural environment, close to nature.

Description

Hi.

I am currently on my way to becoming a biologist, with a strong enthusiasm for damselflies, their behavior, gut microbiome, and nature conservation in general. In the future, I would love to study how species adapt to climate change. I also have some experience studying birds and mycorrhizal fungi.

Outside of my studies, I enjoy spending time with friends, often through sports, traveling, or reading. I consider myself a lifelong learner, always eager to try new things, whether it’s scuba diving, kayaking, or experimenting with a new baking recipe (not always turning out as expected). My friends would describe me as energetic, optimistic, and open-minded.

After finishing my bachelor’s degree in Ecology and Environmental Protection in Romania, I am now studying for a master’s degree in Biology in Leuven, Belgium. Even though I have been living in cities in recent years, I feel happiest in nature, hiking, exploring wild places, and observing the diversity of plants and animals. Back in Romania, I used to organize hikes for other students to share the beauty of the local nature and the importance of protecting it. As a student, I have also worked in teaching environmental protection to children, being a student representative in a student organization, in a cybersecurity call center and I also volunteered in various places, getting to now lot of wonderful people.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Working in many different and unique student jobs, and living my everyday life, I have collected quite a large variety of random skills. I have worked as a librarian, as a private teacher in math, I also taught environmental protection workshop for children and adolescents, I was a student representative organizing events and camps, teaching debate to university students, acting a sa biologist in a documentary film about the Danube, and recently I worked in the cybersecurity department of my University. In my free time I have been leading a hiking club for university students and organizing book club events as well. I think my most important skill is that I am energetic, social, friendly with everyone, flexible, eager to try out new things and curious about the word. Because of my sporty and active lifestyle I am able to do physical work and carry heavy things without problems.
I am quite good at baking and cooking, and also parenting a sourdough I am making my bread of. I like working with children, and this is usually mutual, partly because I am a big boardgame fan, eager to play any time, and I can also be very funny. Other than that, I am fascinated by animals, and I really like to spend time with cats, dogs and horses, having some experience taking care of them. Living on my own since five years I know how to do any chores that might come up in a household, and I also have some knowledge of fixing bikes for example. Recently I also learned some computer skills.

I look forward to travel the word, hike around many places and meet different cultures. I would like to start my travel and volunteering bucket list with traveling up north, to Iceland, the Faroe islands, visiting Norway (I have been twice already but can't get enough of the beautiful nature) and all the neighboring countries having some nice hiking places. I like the mountains and proximity to wild nature, when I was living in Romania I have spend most of my summers camping up in the Carpathians. I always like to talk about travel experiences, books, biology or any funny stories that might come up, and I would like to learn more about the traditions, sports, legends and any interesting habits of different cultures.
