Hi, we are Ola and Janek!

We are from Warsaw, Poland.

We are a pair of artistic souls and open minds. Our intention in travelling is to find inspiration in new places and to appreciate the little things around us. It always expands our perspectives in unexpected ways.

Our adventure with Workaway started in 2019, when we traveled across the United States. We took part in several Workaway projects in California, Georgia and Rhode Island. We met some amazing people, learned new skills and experienced things that will stay with us forever.

In the meantime we survived the Covid times and settled down with our lives at home. We renovated our place in Warsaw, got married, and graduated from universities (Ola in American Studies and Janek in Graphic Design). Ola has been working in an American international school with kids that come to Poland from all around the world. Janek has joined a creative agency and worked in various graphic projects.

Obviously, when it was only possible we did some travelling in Poland and Europe! We did several road-trips with camping, hiking, biking, visiting art galleries and cafes. We love to spend time in nature and balance it with some city breaks.

After a bit of a break we feel that it’s time for another big adventure.

This time our destination will be Australia and then Japan.
We will be visiting our family in Melbourne and then we would love to engage in some new Workaway experiences.

We are very excited to see what the upcoming time brings to us!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

☞ We both have manual, artistic skills.

Janek: I work as a graphic designer in a branding studio. Personally, I enjoy the most creating illustration and motion design projects.

Ola: I like to organize things aesthetically and find interesting details around me; I try to capture that while photographing. In my free time I like to spend time in my parents' ceramic studio, learning about their work and throwing on the potter's wheel.

☞ We are organized individuals who can keep things neat and handle any household chores.

☞ We both enjoy being around children. Ola has worked in an American international school for 5 years. She worked with kids at ages 3-10; with native English speakers and beginner English speakers; with neurotypical and neuroatypical young learners.

☞ We can cook and bake! We both love specialty coffee.

☞ We have driving license. Janek is a very experienced driver, he enjoys it and drives a lot!

☞ We can take care of animals too. Some animals have always been around in our homes; such as cats, dogs, rats, and praying mantises.
