Description

I love to spend time outside whilst being adventurous and I get the greatest enjoyment from sharing this time with other people. I love mountain biking and running and generally staying fit my being outdoors. I am also a big foodie and love to sample local cuisines and even have a go at making them myself! Through travelling in South America, I have been able to interact with locals (my Spanish is improving slowly!) to find out what they enjoy doing with their free time so that I can also get involved and learn new skills! I am new to work away but I have heard so many other people's great experiences when working in a variety of countries and roles and I believe this gives a greater appreciation for the places we travel and I am excited to be more than just a tourist in these places.
I have experience in hospitality through previous jobs in cafes and restaurants in the UK and my favourite thing about working in hospitality/ tourism is that you are able to meet people from all over the world and learn about their cultures!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I studied biochemistry at university and have been working for 5 years in clinical trials in the UK which has allowed me to develop my project management and organisational skills. I travel a lot for work and I work alongside the doctors and nurses to ensure the research is conducted safely and the data collected is reliable. Therefore I have a very high attention to detail and am very quality focused. Outside of work, I provide care for my elderly grandmother and am involved in sports coaching for children and adults (rugby and netball). I am a very energetic person and am used to working with many different people and always ensure that enjoyment and safety are top priorities!
I am also a very logical person and enjoy manual tasks and problem solving. This started when I was even very young and was addicted to building things out of Lego! Recently, I have helped my friends paint and decorate their houses including putting up shelves, restoring furniture and creating peaceful homely environments in each room. I am a very clean person and my friends would consider me a bit of a 'neat freak' and I do not shy away from cleaning up. I will be able to apply these skills in a role in a hostel for organisation of events, making processes more streamlined, cooking, gardening and cleaning/changing rooms.
I am in the process of learning Spanish and can teach English in exchange for some help with my Spanish!
Overall I am a very organised and determined person and love to take on new challenges. Whether I work independently or in a team, I will be able to apply my creative and problem-solving skills to complete the tasks to a high standard whilst always having fun of course! I look forward to meeting you.

Autres infos...

I enjoy time hiking, cycling and running. I enjoy a night out and a dance but I am not a big drinker so this is not something I do everyday but I enjoy sharing a meal and playing card games and being sociable in the evenings.
