Hey everyone!

I am Nina, 23 years old, and originally from Germany. However, I have spent the last five years abroad - two of which I spend fulfilling my long-held dream of travelling across continents, experiencing life through workaways, summer jobs and road trips in Hawaii, New Zealand, Costa Rica and Mexico! I absolutely loved my time abroad, the people I met, and the experiences I got to make. I just finished my degree (Political Science) in the beautiful city of Amsterdam last summer, and am now doing my pre-master in psychology online! I want to use this opportunity to explore faraway places, nature and the sun again, and am so excited to spend my next year travelling and working again.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

During my time abroad, I collected experiences in different fields, mainly including hospitality and animal care.

In New Zealand and Costa Rica, I learned:
- Reception: checking guests in and out, answering phone calls, taking in and changing bookings, answering questions and giving recommendations
- Cleaning: making beds, vacuuming and scrubbing floors, cleaning the windows, ironing and folding sheets, changing towels, and cleaning showers, toilets, sinks and kitchens
- Gardening: removing weeds

In Austria, as well as in Germany previous to my travels, I gained experience in:
- Kitchen: preparing essential food items at the beginning of the day (such as pasta, vanilla sauce, broth…), cooking food a la cart, preparing and decorating plates
- Canteen: cutting vegetables and fruit, preparing bread rolls, salads and desserts, and serving food in a buffet-style manner
- Limited experience in: waitressing, making different types of coffee and other beverages

In Hawaii, I gained knowledge of:
- Feeding and taking care of different animals (cows, pigs, goats, chickens, dogs, cats, sheep!)
- Cleaning and general maintenance of pastures and stables
- General medical care of animals (applying ointments and creams, giving different medications, adjusting the wheelchairs…)
- Driving larger vehicles (such as trucks)

I would love to learn new things, especially how to surf, speak Spanish or French and play the guitar. But I am open to all new things!
