Description

We are Nicola and Sara, a close-knit and dynamic Italian couple looking for a new life challenge in the Netherlands. We share a passion for authentic travel, art, sustainability, and teamwork.

Our goal is to relocate permanently to the Netherlands as soon as possible. We wish to begin this journey by learning from the locals: our aim is to experience the country not as tourists, but by immersing ourselves in daily local life and contributing meaningfully to the communities that host us.

We pride ourselves on being exceptionally reliable, clean, and organized.

Professional Backgrounds.
We come from different professional backgrounds, which makes us a versatile team capable of tackling various tasks with enthusiasm and strong team spirit:

Nicola: A creative chef with a multi-ethnic approach. His culinary philosophy centers on "zero waste" and the belief that "cooking is shared love." He excels at transforming any ingredient into a delicious dish, making the most of what the pantry, the garden, or wild nature has to offer (we are avid foraging enthusiasts!).

Sara: I have an eclectic professional background. For 10 years, I organized live events, produced shows, and conducted theater workshops for individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Today, I work in communication and web design; my digital and graphic design skills are always available to those in need.

We are eager to put our respective expertise at the service of your projects.

Our Contribution.
We love spending time outdoors, we are not afraid of physical labor, and we are accustomed to caring for shared spaces as if they were our own. Moreover, we are passionate about DIY projects and possess strong manual skills, suitable for both minor home repairs and outdoor maintenance.

We are here to learn and provide the utmost support: we are deeply fascinated by permaculture, green building, and animal care. We are ready to assist you with energy, precision, and a touch of Italian creativity.

Languages & Communication.
Nicola has previously lived in the Netherlands and other European countries, meaning he is fluent in English and already familiar with the local culture. For me, however, English represents my greatest challenge. I need a great deal of practice and am highly motivated to learn it quickly and effectively. What better way to achieve this than total immersion within a family or a local project?

Music & Good Vibes: We bring a great soundtrack with us! We love music and can liven up the atmosphere with a DJ console, playing the music genres you enjoy the most!

Nature, Wild Adventures & Bushcraft: We are true outdoor enthusiasts: we love hiking, exploring pristine trails, and learning to observe the nature around us. Recently, we have been getting more and more into bushcraft and primitive survival techniques, as we are eager to learn how to experience the natural environment in an even deeper, more respectful, and self-sufficient way.

Sharing, Cooking & Ancient Traditions: Our home (and our base camp) is a hub for sharing and conviviality: Nicola loves teaching the secrets of authentic Italian tradition and the specialties of our home region, Sardinia (golden rule: no cream in the carbonara, we promise!).

We love foraging and self-production, gathering wild herbs to transform them into great meals to enjoy together.

Our passion doesn't stop at the dinner table. We love experimenting with making artisanal liqueurs, homemade preserves, and all kinds of natural "concoctions," whether they are personal care remedies or traditional recipes to enjoy in good company.

Animal & House Sitting: We both grew up loving animals and nature. We are highly responsible with cats and dogs, and we are more than ready to learn how to care for farm animals like chickens, goats, or horses.

Tech & Handy Troubleshooting: If your Wi-Fi is acting up, if your project needs a flyer or social media content, if there’s a wooden fence that needs a fresh coat of paint, or even a pair of trousers that needs hemming, we are the problem-solvers you are looking for.

Respectful Smokers: We are smokers, but we are extremely respectful. We only smoke outdoors and always ensure we do not disturb anyone or leave any trace.
