Hello to all and welcome to my profile!

My name is Monika and I am 54 years old.

From autumn 2024, I will be taking a career break from my work in Germany, Cologne (Köln), and I would like to spend this time abroad and get to know new and different tasks and also leave behind the everyday life in a big city and my current work (office work, a lot of computer work). I think that more human and concrete activities will give me the opportunity to feel alive; I also want to be less determined by the outside world and live closer to nature. I have been practising yoga myself regularly since around summer 2023, usually once a day, and it does me a lot of good.

What can I tell you about myself?:
I am 54 years old, a single mum (since seven years) of two great - now almost grown-up - sons (20 and 18 years old), who are leaving the house/their home soon. My maternal responsibilities are now slowly coming to an end and my career break allows me to spend some time abroad and do something completely different to my previous responsibilities.

I would describe myself as a friendly, open and helpful person, I am interested in my surroundings, in my fellow human beings and in other cultures. Usually I am a calm person and nothing can upset me so quickly, I also see quickly where things need to be done and/or where I can help or where help is needed and I like to get involved; I am also a tidy, well organised person and have spent the last twenty years managing a family and daily life and cooking (and baking) alongside working, raising two boys and trying to pass on values that are important to me.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

- I like gardening, I have my own little garden at home where I used to plant flowers, vegetables and fruits.
- I can cook, clean, paint, weed, garden and generally help out.
- I would like to make new and different kinds of experience, something I normally don't do at home - and I just want to get to know the way other people live their life. I think that travelling is a wonderful way to find new inspiration, either from new places, people or situations. I am looking for a simpler way of life in the nature with agriculture and animals.
- I have a special relationship to Spain and always enjoy being in the country, I also speak Spanish quite well.
- I am organized, reliable and trustworthy and I am willing to give most things a try.
