Description

I have lived in a few countries and travelled through many more, but the thirst to keep exploring while occcupying my time in mindful and fruitful ways and creating meaningful connections has not been quenched yet. Now that I'm not working anymore, every once in a while I pack my suitcase and GO!

I have been in Canada for more than 25 years, where my husband and I have raised our two fantastic sons, now young adults. We frequently house- and pet-sit, and I volunteered with a family on a solo trip to Mexico for a month in 2022.

I love having intelligent conversations, spending time with people of all ages, hiking, nature, taking care of animals, reading, and using the languages that I know. I believe that we never stop learning and that can happen in so many different ways.

I have been described as responsible, honest, detail-oriented, considerate and kind by colleagues, employees, employers and friends alike. I will add that I consider myself curious and possess a unique outlook on life -- looking at the funny side of things is a big component of my personality.

I am excited to spend time in Latin America, especially Mexico.

Ran my own restaurant for 20 years, which helped me become people and detail oriented.
Obtained a black belt in Karate in my forties, which had me stay focussed on this path for many years.

I have volunteered on an organic farm in Ireland in 2018 for two weeks.
I’ve spent a month with a family in Mexico taking care of their three year old child’s while speaking English to her (November 2022).
I have done a lot of house and pet sitting (from small, feathered animals all the way to horses).
