Hey there! :)

I am looking to connect with other people + hosts, to learn more about their language, their culture and exploring beyond the horizons of our world!

I have vast work experience in many different areas, so while I have not dedicated myself to a particular profession, my skills and attributes I have developed over time are able to be applied in many different areas! Gastronomy, housekeeping and horticulture are the areas I have spent the most experience in.

In saying that, I am very open to all experiences and opportunities. To put yourself outside of your typical environment and comfort zone is to learn more about yourself and the world around you, is a great experience for growth and personal development!

My long term aim/goal is to learn more of other languages through travel and speaking with locals/native people. This is the most rewarding and authentic way to develop my vocabulary in other languages. Though it is not easy, the more you practice, the more you develop and in time it becomes easier. That is true of a lot of things in this world.

While I enjoy living in New Zealand, it is in reality just a small dot on the corner of the globe. I know (from my travels so far) there is so much more to see and explore! It is very important to have perspective and open-mindedness :)

If you travel to New Zealand, I may be able to help you out, or at the very least give you some useful advice. You may be able to do the same for the next person you cross paths with. I feel as though it's important to help others wherever possible. Then people are more willing to help you. Such as 'Paying it forward' (the movie.)

To be honest, the things that motivate me and bring me the most happiness are the simple pleasures. Waking up to the sound of the birds, a crisp sunny day, making a fresh cup of tea/coffee, going for a run/bike, maybe even a swim in the ocean (when it is warm enough.) Making a great meal for yourself/others, a good novel, seeing a friend after a long time. All of those little things are wonderful and make a big difference in having a positive outlook on life.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

The area that I have the most knowledgeable/experience in is horticulture.
I've had experience with green keeping (turf maintenance) at golf courses, parks & reserves.

Farm experience, driving tractors, ride on mowers, quad (four wheel) motorbikes, log splitters, working from EWP (elevated work platform.) Plus some fencing and irrigation work

Operating outdoor power tools such as push mowers, scrub cutter/weedeater, chainsaws, pole pruners, hedge trimmer, leaf blower, water blaster etc.

Manual tools, all the essential equipment that is used in gardens, forks, spade, rakes, shovel, secateurs etc.

Worked on significant planting projects, vegetation management, residential maintenance, landscaping and lots of gardening!

Worked on other projects such as painting, pruning and landscaping

I enjoy many sports, and I'm always interested to learn new sports and spend time trying those I wish I could do more often (such as surfing and skiing)

I'm also very interested to learn more about viticulture, apiculture (beekeeping) permaculture and sustainable farming/ecosystems.

And food, I love food and wish to learn more about your cuisine of your home!
