Hello!!!

We are Nerea (25) and Sergi (29) a couple from Barcelona. We started our Australian adventure 9 months ago working and living close to the Noosa area and we are very excited to finally start our road trip around the Australian East Coast.

Through the Workaway platform and thanks to our beloved host, we got the amazing opportunity to spend our first months in Australia living off-grid in the middle of native bush and surrounded by wildlife. We have updated the pictures of our profile so you can see a little glimpse of what the last months of our lives have been like helping with the property, renovating and building a tiny house/caravan that ended up being our first home away from home, looking after rescued wildlife and fitting our travel van.

A little bit about ourselves:

We love to travel and discover the world together whilst meeting people and engaging with new cultures, usually through long road trips. We feel at our best enjoying the simple things in life; sunrises, sunsets, hikes, great views, and good food (we enjoy cooking and sharing Catalan and Spanish meals).

We both hold university degrees and have great professional experience in business and community development. We have also had diverse work experiences from picking macadamia nuts to hospitality.

In our free time, it is likely to find Nerea reading a book or listening to 70's music or reading a book when she is not looking after the garden whilst Sergi enjoys himself when he is involved in some handy work and learning to play guitar.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Nerea:
At a professional level, I am a project manager so, order, attention to detail and people management and relationships are my strengths. I feel my best when coordinating and helping others, orientating, assisting, and making sure everything is under control. I have also had work experiences in hospitality and have worked at international congresses as an attendant which I enjoyed. I do like cleaning and maintaining spaces that look good, and don’t mind at all getting my hands dirty and doing more physically demanding jobs.

Sergi:
I have worked professionally in big companies as a data analyst in charge of project management and program control, I do great under pressure and l naturally take a leadership role. I love understanding and explaining that’s what has led me to be a football coach and the supervisor of my family’s restaurant. I am very drawn to building and renovation, I have worked as a builder, and in my free time I also get involved in projects of my own as it is my hobby. I can easily fix most things and go through physically demanding jobs.
