Hey everyone.
I started my Workaway adventure in the summer of 2021. During COVID I took redundancy and decided to change my life. At the grand old age of 37 I realised I was never going to happy spinning pizzas in a restaurant so here I am. 😊
Mainly i am looking for volunteer work with animals, big or small. I have always been an animal lover, i've had animals in my life pretty much constantly since i was a child.
Since starting workaway i have been extremely lucky with my placements. I've gained experience of taking care of geese, ducks, goats, turkeys, chickens, sheep, cats, dogs, donkeys, pigs, alpacas, tortoises, parrots, rabbits, guinea pigs, peacocks, a bearded dragon, a grass snake, ponies. The list goes on 😊 It's been fantastic.
I have no problems with mucking and cleaning out, if they're happy, i'm happy. :)
I'm also happy to help with cooking, cleaning and general tasks around the place. I'm used to using my own initiative so will just crack on with whatever is needed.
Doing workaway has definitely become a way of life for me and i look forward to learning new skills and making new friends. 👍

Generally speaking, i like to stay in a workaway for long periods of time. (a few months minimum) Obviously this depends on whether we get along but i haven't had any issues so far. I'm pretty easy going. I do get very attached to animals. I will happily spend my free time with them, have a chat, have a snuggle, take em out. Whatever they fancy. So the longer i get to be in their lives the better. :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I've worked in alot of kitchens so I'm more than happy doing some cooking, I'm accustomed to being on my feet for 12hrs a day. I have also had a job deep cleaning bars and restaurants so am no stranger to a scrubbing brush.
From my work as a workaway i've grown accustomed to mucking out after all types of animals.
I'm happy to use a drill and hammer etc when needed.
I am a qualified massage therapist, no taking advantage of that, thankyou. 😋
