Hello :-)
My name is Naja Olesen Ciarrocchi, I'm 28 years old and I come from Denmark - though I'm half Italian. I'm currently studying psychology and doing my master - so (hopefully) I'll be a psychologist this december (2023).
I like to see my self as an happy, positive, present, authentic, warm person (that was a lot of sweet words about my self haha;-) ). I think I have an eye for seeing other people and making them (and my self) feel comfortable. I enjoy fun and deep conversations, making and enjoying good food together with people, experiencing cultures, being in nature, selfcare like doing yoga, running, swimming in the ocean, listing to music - I would say that I enjoy life in general a lot:-)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I'm almost a psychologist which I think has giving me knowledge and even more interest in people and meeting people with understanding and empathy. I also work as a therapist and have "talk therapy" with young teenagers and adults - also with people how have different diagnoses like ADHD, autism, personality disorders, depression, PTSDP and more.

Language: I'm fluent in Danish and English - so would like to help any Italian family with their english skills! I also understand Norwegian and Swedish. I understand and speak a little German. I'm half Italian so I understand and speak a little bit Italian as well - but I would like to be better and become fluent!

I highly, highly recommend having a Workaway experience at Emanuela's sweet family! I stayed in Palermo with the family Manu, Franci and Pachi for two beautiful and memorable months. The family always helped me if I needed anything and I truly felt taken care of during my whole stay.

About the "work":
The first days the family let me just have free time to adapt to their home and the city and they didn't expect me to start helping straight away - and then the "work" was slowly and easily introduced. When I arrived to the family Franci had just started a higher schoolgrade, which included a lot more homework in his free time. Therefore my time with Franci was limited - but he is a very special, sweet and happy kid with a caring and open soul and I enjoyed spending time with him when he wasn't busy with homework, basketball or friends. My tasks mostly consisted of help with keeping the home clean - vacuuming, dust off, making the bed, cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms, folding laundry. I remember that I read from another workaway'er that you are given an exceptional lot of free time - I can now confirm that is true! I often only helped for two-three hours or less during the weekdays and had a lot of independence and flexibility to schedule the tasks to make it fit with my other plans - and still Manu was always caring and thankful for my help.

Their home is just around 15 min. walk to all the central areas in the city - so it's really easy to experience the city both at day and night. I felt lucky that I could always borrow Manu's bike if I wanted - which was a really easy and cool way to get around the city. Palermo is one of my absolut favorit cities in the world - the atmosphere, streets, buildings, markeds, people, food is all magical. I can really recommend just going around and experience the city and its vibe and you'll meet open, sweet and interesting people all over.

I feel truly blessed to have stayed with Manu's family as they are a true dream workaway host! I look forward to visit them again in the future and have invited them to come and visit my home country.
