Hi, I'm Mikey (they/them)!
I'm travelling (mostly around Europe) and wanting to help out with community projects, learn new things, practice languages, share skills and experience, and meet good people.
I'm interested in community organising, co-housing, activism, leftist politics, mutual aid, DIY, sustainable agriculture, co-operatives... and many more things besides. I have some experience in farm work, building and handiwork, group facilitation... I love learning new skills too, and am a quick learner.
I also get joy from music, dancing, exercise (I love physical work!), and I'm a sociable person.
Je comprend assez bien le français et j'ai tellement envie de le pratiquer!

I would like to practice and improve my French (currently intermediate - I understand a lot but my vocabulary and speaking needs work) I am very interested in learning Arabic (I'm a complete beginner but intending to take classes soon) Generally very interested in language learning and would be happy to pick up the basics of any languages!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I'm physically fit and strong, I've worked physical jobs for several years and enjoy heavy labour.
I'm a quick learner and interested in many fields.

I've lived in big communal houses most of my 20s, and I take pleasure in cooking for others, cleaning, and generally looking after the house. I'm pretty handy at fixing things and DIY projects.

-Specialised skills -
I do technical work in a theatre - I have experience with:
- power tool use
- manual handling (moving big/heavy objects)
- basic building/construction/carpentry
- rigging, rope use

I also used to co-manage a small urban farm, and am experienced with farm work including:
- hand tool use
- planting (seed and seedlings)
- harvesting vegetables
- weeding and plant identification
