Hi!

I simply love nature, to be outdoors and to get my hands dirty. Yet normally I can do that in my free time only.
I have an organic garden and try to encourage biodiversity as much as I can. I have worked on an organic farm while still studying (well, which is a while ago, I admit) and have participated in some environmental projects in my home town as well as volunteering for weeks at a time in the Alps. Some years ago I could take two sabbaticals and worked on a permaculture farm in Andalusia for a month and an organic farm in southern Italy - and simply enjoyed every minute of it :-)

I love hiking in the Alps, running in the woods and around our little lake, gardening, playing games, talking to friends, sharing a good meal, but also simply hanging around etc. I'm 61 years old, in good shape (no worry, I can work on a farm), and would love to break out of the conventional life for a while again ...

I'm working as a geography and environmental teacher, trying to combine knowlegde and hands-on activities as much as possible - so you see, I also love to work with people :-) and really hope that I can have an influence on at least some of the teenies towards leading a more sustainable life style.

I live in a small town south of Zürich and live in a house that's been built with natural material: Wood, clay, cork. I have done all the finishing of the walls indoors myself, I like to work with wood and create whatever comes to my mind. Next to my commitment for the environment I have also set up a voluntary group in my little town for helping refugees with whatever they need, at the moment we meet once a week to play games together.

I have two kids who are both studying by now and out of town. Thus I'm able to go abroad and get involved again without many restrictions. I can take another leave from school and would love to help out on an organic farm, connect to the earth and to people living an alternative lifestyle!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I can work in a garden and am having an organic garden myself, have set up a communal permaculture garden in our little town, have done projects to enhance biodiversity, have built dry walls terrassing the garden, have done wood work in the house, painted etc. and helped build a wood house.
I'm an environmental teacher, teaching and helping the teenies organize projects of their own.
I can cook yet am happy if I don't have to do it every day.
