Hello, my name is Lauren and I am 24 years old. I grew up on a hobby farm in Southern Alberta where we had an array of animals (dogs, cats, chickens, cows, horses, pigs, peacocks) as well as a flourishing garden. Growing up this way has given me important life skills such as taking care of animals, doing DIY projects, growing a garden, and the satisfaction of seeing hard work pay off. I have worked very hard with my first job being when I was 14 years old working at a butcher shop, working my way up over the years to be a meat cutter, knowing how to make sausage, clean an animal and package it safely until I left when I was 20. After that I became a roughneck on a drilling rig and worked my way up to motor-hand, this job provided me not only with mechanical know how, but also an appreciation for how fun hard work can be when with the right crew. I recently had a seasonal job building barbed wire fence for farmers and oilfield reclamation, providing me with one more valuable skill. I have worked hard my whole life to be able to travel and explore the world, as well as more of my interests. I am very creative and artistic, along with loving athletics -- anything done outside i am always up for. A few of my favorite activities would be kayaking, swimming, and skiing in the winter. I am a very outgoing and friendly person so i look forward to meeting and working together with all sorts of new people i can learn from
