Hallo, ich bin Monique 😊,
geboren in Vietnam, aufgewachsen seit meinem siebten Lebensjahr in Deutschland, und tief verwurzelt in einer großen, christlichen Familie. Mit fünf Geschwistern und inzwischen zehn Nichten und Neffen wird es bei uns oft laut, bunt und lebendig. Genau das liebe ich: Familie bedeutet mir unglaublich viel, und dieses Miteinander prägt mich sehr.

Beruflich bin ich ausgebildete Hotelfachfrau mit langjähriger Erfahrung in der 4- und 5-Sterne-Hotellerie. Mein Herz schlägt besonders für den Gästekontakt: Viele Jahre habe ich an der Rezeption gearbeitet, zuletzt auch als Front-Office-Managerin mit Verantwortung für ein siebenköpfiges Team. Aktuell bin ich wieder an der Rezeption tätig. Zwischendurch habe ich kurz in ein Finanzunternehmen hineingeschnuppert, bevor ich mir 2014 ganz bewusst eine Auszeit genommen habe, um mir einen großen Lebenstraum zu erfüllen – das Reisen.

Diese Reise hat mich nachhaltig geprägt. Ich durfte fremde Kulturen kennenlernen, besondere Begegnungen erleben und viele wertvolle Erfahrungen sammeln, für die ich bis heute sehr dankbar bin. Genau deshalb schätze ich Workaway so sehr: Es ist für mich eine wunderbare Möglichkeit, nicht nur ein Land zu sehen, sondern Menschen, Kultur und den Alltag wirklich kennenzulernen.

Seit Anfang 2025 lebe und arbeite ich (meiner Liebe zu den Bergen folgend) in der Schweiz. Für die letzten drei Januar Wochen 2026 suche ich einen Gastgeber, idealerweise in der Schweiz oder in Frankreich, um meine Französischkenntnisse aufzufrischen und zu vertiefen. Ich hatte zwar vier Jahre Französisch in der Schule, aber ehrlich gesagt: da ist nicht mehr viel übrig 😉 Umso größer ist meine Motivation, neu durchzustarten.

Ich unterstütze sehr gerne beim Babysitten, in der Kinder- oder Seniorenbetreuung, bei der Tierpflege oder einfach im Alltag – flexibel, zuverlässig und mit viel Herz. Kochen ist eine meiner großen Leidenschaften, gutes Essen liebe ich sowieso, und ich packe überall dort mit an, wo Hilfe gebraucht wird.

Man sagt mir nach, ich sehe nicht nur jünger aus, als ich bin, sondern bin es auch im Herzen geblieben. Ich bin single, kinderlos, offen, lebensfroh und passe mich neuen Situationen schnell an. Ein respektvolles, herzliches Miteinander ist mir besonders wichtig.

Ich freue mich sehr darauf, neue Erfahrungen zu sammeln, Teil eines liebevollen und offenen Umfelds zu sein und gemeinsam eine schöne, bereichernde Zeit zu erleben 🌿

Hi, I’m Monique 😊
I’m a trained hotel professional with many years of experience in 4- and 5-star hotels, mainly at the front desk, including leadership experience as a Front Office Manager. I come from a big, warm family and truly enjoy being around people and lively environments.

I’m currently living and working in Switzerland and am looking for a Workaway stay of about three weeks in January 2026, ideally in Switzerland or France, to improve my French. I studied French at school several years ago, but I haven’t spoken it since then and not much has stayed with me. That’s why I’m very motivated to start fresh and relearn French through daily life and cultural exchange.

I’m open-minded, reliable, flexible and young at heart. I’m single and without children and happy to help with childcare, babysitting, supporting elderly people, animal care, cooking (which I really love), or daily household tasks. I enjoy being part of a caring, respectful environment and contributing wherever help is needed.

Besides my professional experience, I’ve spent several years working as a waitress in high-standard restaurants and doing babysitting. During my two-year trip around the world, I also volunteered in many different places — from hostels in Australia, India, Japan, and South Korea, to organic farms in Malaysia and Thailand, and even a yoga & meditation retreat (Ananda) in Taiwan.
