Description
Hi! My name is Mizuna, a university student from Japan, and I’m really excited to join Workaway in Australia this March.
One of my biggest dreams since childhood has been living and working with animals. I used to dream of becoming a veterinarian or a zoo keeper, but my career path has taken me in a different direction. I will soon start a career related to journalism. Before fully committing to that path, I want to make sure I don’t leave any regrets and truly experience working and living with animals that I love so much.
I grew up with two dogs, and in the past I also raised four quails from eggs, so I’m familiar with daily animal care and the responsibility that comes with it. Being around animals makes me feel calm, motivated, and happy, and I always treat them with care and respect.
I have lived abroad for a year as an exchange student in Sweden and later worked for 1.5 years at the Embassy of Japan in Sri Lanka during a leave from university. Through these experiences, I learned how to adapt to new environments, respect different cultures, and communicate well with people from diverse backgrounds. I also have experience living in shared houses and value cleanliness and consideration for others.
I speak English comfortably (IELTS 7.0) and enjoy communicating openly. People often describe me as cheerful, curious, and positive. My hobbies include handicrafts such as knitting and scuba diving, and I love learning new skills.
While I may not be the strongest physically, I am very responsible, motivated, and always willing to learn. I carefully listen to instructions and do my best to support my hosts in a reliable way.
I would be truly grateful for the opportunity to be part of your daily life, help with animal care, and learn from your way of living. Thank you very much for reading my profile. I look forward to meeting you!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I have experience caring for animals, including raising dogs and quails from eggs, so I understand daily feeding, cleaning, and observing animal behavior. I am patient, responsible, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals.
I am also happy to help with household tasks such as cleaning, organizing, laundry, and general daily support. I enjoy creative and hands-on activities and have experience with handicrafts including knitting, sewing, and making bead accessories.
I am comfortable using computers and can help with basic video editing, photo editing, and simple digital tasks if needed.
Although I am not professionally trained, I enjoy DIY projects and like helping with small repairs, decorating, or creative projects. I also enjoy cooking and baking and am happy to help prepare meals or share Japanese home-style dishes.
I am always motivated to learn new skills and enjoy supporting hosts with a positive and flexible attitude.

Feedback
I really appreciated all the opportunities you gave me to join local events and visit nearby places. I was able to discover so much about the beauty and charm of the Bega Valley. I would love to come back and visit your farm again in the future.… read more
