Hi!
My name is Mireia, 32 years old from Barcelona.
I'm currently working seasonally in Iceland, near from Akureyri.
In Spain I worked in the electrical industry, and here in Iceland, I've been working as a cook in a hotel since May to end of August.
I have skills in cooking, cleaning, taking care of childrens, gardering, animals and also manual labor.
I'd like to stay longer in Iceland because I really like the country and the people, and I think volunteering is a good way to round out my experience.
I'm an easy-going person, with empathy, autonomy and calm.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a degree and experience working in electricity.
I've also worked in restaurants as a waitress and cook.

My other experience and skills are in gardening, construction, and crafts (we've always built and repaired at home).
I have a do-it-yourself mentality, so I try to have a small ecological footprint, which is why I have manual skills.
I also know how to cook many dishes, especially Mediterranean cuisine, and I've also been a summer camp instructor many years ago.

I've always had pets like dogs, cats, and chickens at home, and I know how to take care of them and in general of my environment.
